Power
TL;DR
- A Squeek's level sets its maximum power. Active power is the part that earns.
- New power starts earning in the round after a mint or merge.
- After a mint or merge, a Squeek waits out a cooldown before it can merge again.
Levels and maximum power
Each level sets a Squeek's maximum power. Merging two Squeeks of the same level creates one Squeek a level higher, and each level has more than twice the power of the one below.
Each merge starts a cooldown before the Squeek can merge again.
Active power
Active power is the part of a Squeek's maximum power that earns. Staking explains how it's set.
When does new power start earning?
A new Squeek starts earning in the round after it's minted. After a merge, the survivor keeps earning with both Squeeks' combined power until the next round, then switches to its new level's power. Transferring a Squeek doesn't change its power.
When can you merge again?
A cooldown starts when a Squeek is minted or merged, and it's counted in completed Squeek blocks. Higher levels wait longer. The cooldown stays with the Squeek if it's transferred, and a merge checks it against the live block height, so it never waits for a checkpoint.
