TL;DRLink to this section

  • SqueekFi is Squeekchain's ecosystem for hamster-powered onchain finance.
  • Squeek Miner NFTs earn SQK linked to recorded wheel activity. Owners can direct a share of those rewards to fund SqueekFi projects.
  • Builders can use the public work record in their own contracts and applications.

What is SqueekFi?Link to this section

SqueekFi connects Squeekchain's mining economy with projects that use smart contracts for finance.

The connection to Squeekchain is the Squeek Miner NFT. A Miner earns SQK linked to the Hamster Miner's recorded work, and its owner can choose to fund SqueekFi projects with a share of those rewards.

Mining rewards are the SQK your Miner earns. Its active mining power determines its share of available rewards, and you claim those rewards to your wallet. The amount varies with completed work, the reward rules, and other Miners' active power; SQK and rewards explains that side of ownership.

You can also direct a share of your Miner's rewards to fund SqueekFi projects.

What makes it hamster-powered?Link to this section

The physical Hamster Miner records accepted wheel activity. That work is checked and recorded on Ethereum, then processed under the reward rules. Squeek Miner NFTs earn SQK linked to that work, and owners can choose to use a share of those rewards to fund SqueekFi projects.

“Hamster-powered” describes this connection between physical activity and onchain finance. The wheel doesn't power Ethereum, produce Ethereum blocks, or prove that a financial project is safe. The sensor records accepted magnet passages, not the identity or intent of the animal moving the wheel.

The Core contract exposes settled rounds, cumulative work, and completed Squeek blocks. Builders can read that record from their own contracts and applications without permission to submit settlements.

Examples you could build include:

  • Work-milestone funding. An escrow could hold contributed SQK or other tokens, then release a tranche when state().blockHeight reaches an agreed Squeek-block milestone.
  • Work-paced collectibles and games. A project could unlock a level or evolve its own NFT as completed Squeek blocks accumulate. state() provides current progress, while blockInfo() identifies the round in which a completed block was reached.
  • Work explorers and analytics. Use roundPage() with the RoundRecorded and BatchSettled events to build work-history dashboards, block-milestone timelines, or settlement-lag views.

These are applications you can build around the work record, not functions that Core performs for you. Your contracts handle any funds and execute their own actions; Core doesn't send payments or call a project when a milestone is reached. Progress follows settled work, not the live wheel.

Start with Read contracts and the Core reference for the interfaces and integration checks.
