# SqueekFi

> SqueekFi is Squeekchain's ecosystem for hamster-powered onchain finance, built on the public work record and SQK.

Web version: https://docs.squeekchain.com/rewards/squeekfi/

## TL;DR

- SqueekFi is Squeekchain's ecosystem for hamster-powered onchain finance.
- Its building blocks are the hamster's public work record on Ethereum and SQK, the token that work issues.
- Builders can read the work record, SQK, and Miner data from their own contracts and applications.
- Anyone can build without permission; this page lists the kinds of projects the system can support.

## What is SqueekFi?

SqueekFi connects Squeekchain's mining economy with projects that use smart contracts for finance. Its projects build on two public building blocks: the settled work record in `SqueekCore`, and SQK, the token that [mining](https://docs.squeekchain.com/miners.md) distributes.

## What makes it hamster-powered?

The WHEELY9000 records accepted wheel activity. That work is checked and settled on Ethereum, where it completes Squeek blocks. A SqueekFi project that reads this record, or uses SQK, moves with the hamster's actual work.

## Projects the system can support

`SqueekCore` exposes certified rounds, cumulative physical work, earned block units, and completed Squeek blocks. `SqueekMining`, `SqueekToken`, and the Miner NFT expose rewards, SQK, and ownership. Any contract or application can read these records without permission.

The projects below are possibilities, not existing projects or built-in features.

Prediction markets
: Markets on the hamster's output, such as whether the wheel reaches a Squeek-block milestone by a deadline, or how much work a given period settles. Resolve only on settled work, not live readings.

Games and dynamic NFTs
: A collectible that levels up or changes its appearance as completed Squeek blocks accumulate.

Work-milestone funding
: An escrow could hold contributed SQK or other tokens, then release a tranche when the work record reaches an agreed Squeek-block milestone.

Dashboards and analytics
: Work-history dashboards, block-milestone timelines, or settlement-lag views built from the public work record.

Alerts and automation
: A bot could send notifications or trigger its own contracts whenever a block completes. Because anyone can run a mining checkpoint, a keeper could also process settled rounds into rewards.

AI agents and autonomous strategies
: An agent could use settled work as a signal it can verify onchain, then act from its own wallet: take positions in a prediction market, trigger its own contracts at a block milestone, or pay for services in SQK. It should act only on settled work, since a live wheel reading is not yet settled.

Payments, tips, and bounties in SQK
: SQK is a standard ERC-20 token, so any contract that accepts ERC-20 tokens can hold, escrow, or pay it.

Trading venues and liquidity for SQK
: Any exchange can list SQK, and anyone can open a pool for it against another asset.

Liquidity pools and liquidity mining
: A project could run pools for SQK or its own token and pay an incentive token to the people who supply liquidity, using any exchange and any reward token.

Work-linked tokens
: A project could issue its own token on a schedule that follows Squeek-block milestones, so its supply moves with the hamster's settled work.

Token distribution to Miners
: A project could distribute its own token to Miner owners, for example in proportion to each Miner's mining power, or to everyone who holds a Miner at a chosen time. Miner ownership and power are public, so the project needs no permission from Squeekchain.

Miner portfolio and wallet tools
: Show a Miner's level, active power, and unclaimed SQK, and prepare claims for its owner.

Miner marketplaces and valuation tools
: A Miner's unclaimed rewards, level, scheduled power change, and merge cooldown transfer with the NFT, so a marketplace can show a buyer exactly what they would receive.

Pooled Miners
: A contract could hold Miners and issue shares in them. Claims go to a Miner's owner and unclaimed rewards travel with the NFT, so a design has to account for who owns each Miner and how its rewards are claimed and divided.

Holder experiences
: An app or community could unlock features for Miner owners by checking who holds a Miner.

### Before you build

Your contracts hold their own funds and act on what they read; `SqueekCore` supplies the record, and progress follows settled work. A live wheel reading runs ahead of settled work, so [How work reaches Ethereum](https://docs.squeekchain.com/system/settlement.md) explains which stage to rely on. Start with [Read contracts](https://docs.squeekchain.com/developers/quickstart.md) and the [SqueekCore reference](https://docs.squeekchain.com/developers/core.md) for the interfaces and integration checks.

Choose whether your rule measures physical work or earned Squeek blocks: adaptive difficulty changes the relationship between them. For a round-based deadline, use that round's certified endpoint rather than the transaction's arrival time. Your application must handle delayed certification, pauses, and several block milestones completing in one transaction; SqueekCore does not call your contract when they happen.
